Our privacy principles
You can use YapSurf without creating a user account.
YapSurf does not send your questions or browsing history to, or store them on, the operator’s own servers. We do not track you for advertising.
The ChatGPT and Gemini you already use
YapSurf helps you use the ChatGPT or Gemini you already use more easily in Safari.
Web page information needed for questions and answers is used within the ChatGPT or Gemini conversation you are signed in to.
If you turn on automatic page sharing, relevant information from the current page may be shared to that conversation even if you don’t ask a question.
Your conversations and history are governed by your existing ChatGPT or Gemini settings and their privacy policies.
Voice and on-device information
YapSurf’s voice features use the microphone and speech processing you allow.
The YapSurf operator does not store your raw microphone recordings on its own servers.
Some temporary information needed for YapSurf settings and features may remain on your device or in Safari storage.
Managing and deleting records
Because YapSurf does not send or store your questions or browsing history on its own servers, the operator cannot view or delete those records.
You can clear YapSurf information on your device using the app’s and Safari’s data management features. You can manage ChatGPT and Gemini conversation history directly in each service.
Website and support
The official YapSurf website uses a hosting service, and technical information needed to access the site may be processed by the hosting provider.
If you email support, we process your email address and message to reply, and may keep them for as long as necessary.
